♥Once I Had A Dream Forum Set PTU♥

Here is what we will be making -
Supplies Needed :
Paint Shop Pro X2 (Any version should work)
Animation Shop
Tube of choice - I am using the amazing work of Suzanne Woolcott. (License required to use)
Scrapkit - Words By Tamie @ Addictive Pleasures
Animation Of Choice - I used one of Missy's from Divine Intentionz
(Once you download & unzip the file, locate the animation called "novasparks_bymissy". That is the one I used for this set.)
Plugins Used :
Xero - Radiance
Xero - Porcelain
Eye Candy 5 Impact - Gradient Glow
Elements Used:
Ribbon4
Roses
Doves
Leaves
Vine Flowers
Flowers 2
Fence
Sparkles
Paper 4
Lets Begin :
We will start by making the banner first -
Open a new 650 X 250 transparent canvas .
Go to Selections - click Select All
Now open Paper 4 - Copy & paste it as a new layer onto your canvas. Now go to Selections - click Invert - Then on your keyboard, press your delete key 1 time.
Now go back to Selections & click Select None.
Now on your paper 4 layer - go to Selections - click Select All - Selections again & click Float - Selections again & click Defloat -
Now open your tube of choice - Copy & paste it as a new layer onto your canvas - then re-size it to 80%. Position it to your liking. Once happy with the placement of your tube, go to Selections - click Invert - then on your keyboard press your delete key 1 time.
Now go back to Selections & click Select None.
Now on your tube layer - go to Effects - click Plugins - then click Xero - then from the slide out menu click Porcelain.
(You can use my settings below or your own)
Now click Ok.
Now go back to Effects - click Plugins - then click Xero - then from the slide out menu click Radiance.
(Again you can use my settings below or your own.)
Now click Ok.
Now go to Effects - click 3D Effects - then click Drop Shadow.
Click Ok.
Open your fence element - Copy & paste as a new layer onto your canvas, then re-size it to 50%. Position your fence to the left side of your canvas.
Now go to Adjust, click Sharpness - then click Sharpen from the slide out menu..
Now apply a drop shadow. (Same settings as before)
Now go to your layers pallet - right click on your Fence layer - then click Duplicate. Use your move tool to position your duplicated Fence element to the right side of your canvas.
Now duplicate your Fence again & then use your move tool to position it to the center of your canvas. (See my tag for reference if needed)
In your layers pallet - move your tube layer ABOVE all 3 of the Fence layers.
Open your Flowers 2 element - Copy & paste it as a new layer onto your canvas, then re-size it to 30%. Position it using your move tool to the left side of your canvas.
Now sharpen & apply a drop shadow. (Same settings as before)
Go to your layers pallet - right click on your Flowers 2 layer - then click Duplicate. Position your duplicated Flowers 2 element behind your tube.
Now duplicate your Flowers 2 layer again & position it to the right end of your canvas. (See my tag for reference if needed)
Open your Vine Flowers element - Copy & paste it as a new layer onto your canvas - then re-size it to 30%. Position it to the left on your canvas.
Now in your layers pallet - move your Wild Flowers layer down to just above your Paper 4 layer.
On your Vine Flowers layer - go to Effects - click Plugins - then click Xero - now click Radiance.
Using the same settings as before.
Go back to your layers pallet - right click on your Vine Flowers layer & click Duplicate. Position your Vine Flowers to the middle of your canvas. Now duplicate again & position a bit farther to the right. Now duplicate it one more time & position it to the right end of your canvas.
You want all 4 of your Vine Flowers spread across the back of your fence element.
Open your Doves element - Copy & paste it as a new layer onto your canvas, then re-size it to 30%. Position your Doves element to the left side of your tube somewhere in the middle of the edge & your tube. Now go to Adjust - click Sharpness then click - Sharpness.
Now apply a drop shadow.
Now go to your layers pallet - right click on your Doves layer - then click Duplicate. Now use your move tool to position your duplicated Doves element - to the right of your tube. Placing it again in the middle of the tube & the right edge of your canvas.
Open your Leaves element - go to Image & click Free Rotate, set to Left 90.00 & check the box next to all layers. Click Ok.
Now copy & paste it as a new layer onto your canvas - then re-size it to 50%. Position it to the left side of your canvas.
In your layers pallet - move your tube layer above all other layers.
On your Leaves layer go to Effects - click Plugins - then click Xero - then click Radiance.
Use the same settings as you did before.
Now apply a drop shadow.
Then go to your layers pallet - right click on your Leaves layer then click Duplicate. Now go to Image & click Mirror.
Use your move tool to adjust the position of your duplicated Leaves element if needed.
Open your Roses element - Copy & paste it as a new layer onto your canvas -then re-size it to 30%. Position it to the left side of your canvas. Then go to Effects - click Plugins - then click Xero - then from the slide out menu click Radiance.
Now apply a drop shadow.
Now go to your layers pallet - & duplicate your Roses layer 4 times so that you have a total of 5 Roses elements.
Use your move tool & position them across your canvas. (See my tag for reference if needed)
Open your Ribbon 4 element - Copy & paste it as a new layer onto your canvas, then re-size it to 50%. Position it to the left side of your canvas.
In your layers pallet - move your Ribbon 4 layer down below your tube layer.
On your Ribbon 4 layer - go to Effects - click Plugins - Xero - Radiance. (Same settings as before)
Now go to your layers pallet - right click on your Ribbon 4 layer & click Duplicate. Go to Image & click Mirror.
Now open your Sparkles element - Copy & paste it as a new layer onto your canvas - then re-size it to 50%. Position it to the left side of your canvas. Then go to your layers pallet - right click on your Sparkles layer then click Duplicate. Now use your move tool & position your duplicated sparkles element to the middle of your canvas.
Now duplicate your Sparkles one last time & then use your move tool to position it to the right end of your canvas.
Now in your layers pallet - click on your very last layer - then go to Selections - click Select All - then click Selections again & click Modify then on the slide out menu click Contract. Set to 8 & click Ok.
Now go back to Selections & click Invert -
Now activate your flood fill tool - set your background color to #000000, make a new raster layer.
Now using your Flood Fill tool click inside your 2 marching ants lines.
Now go to Selections & click Select None.
Now move your border layer up to the very top of your layers pallet - above all other layers.
Now back in your layers pallet - click on your very last layer again. Go to Selections - click Select All - then click Selections again - then click Modify - then from the slide out menu click Contract - set it to 4 & click Ok.
Now Selections again & click Invert.
Now set your background color to #6c5b6b
Make a new raster layer - now using your Flood Fill tool again, click inside the two marching ants lines.
Go to Selections & click Select None.
Now move your 2nd border layer to the top of your layer pallet & place it above your 1st border layer.
Now in your layers pallet - click on your 1st border layer - then go to Adjust, click Add/Remove Noise - then click Add Noise from the slide out menu - set to Uniform , 100 & monochrome box is checked, then click Ok.
Now apply a drop shadow. (same settings as before)
Now add your name.
I used :
Font: Carpenter Script
Size : 80 Pixels
Color : #6c5b6b
Type out your name & click Apply.
Go to your layers pallet - right click on your Name layer then click Convert To Raster Layer.
Now go to Effects - click Plugins - then click Eye Candy 5 Impact - Gradient Glow. Set your settings to your liking & click ok.
Now apply a drop shadow to your name.
Now add your copyright/license information.
I also applied a gradient glow to my copyright information as it makes it stand out a bit more.
Now open your Animation Shop.
Once in your Animation Shop - open your Animation of choice -
If you are using the same animation that I used - it will have 15 frames.
Now click on the 1st frame of your animation.
Then on your keyboard press your Ctrl & A key, this will select ALL 15 of your animations frames.
Now go back to your PSP -
Go to Edit - click Copy Special - then click Copy Merged -
Now go back to your Animation Shop - right click in the grey word area.
Then click Paste As New Animation.
Now you will need to make your banner into 15 frames as well.
To do that, press & hold your Ctrl key then tap your L key at the same time until you have 15 frames. (The way to check how many frames you have is to look in the lower right corner of your Animation Shop.)
Once you have 15 frames for your banner , click in your 1st frame then use your Ctrl & A keys to Select ALL of your 15 frames of your banner.
Now go to your animation frames, right click in the 1st frame - then click Copy.
Now go to your Banner frames - right click in your 1st frame, then click Paste, then click Into Selected Frame.
Now without clicking, move your mouse around until your animation shows up.
You will see a white ball at the end of your mouse pointer.
Now still without clicking move your mouse so the pointer is on the left set of Doves. Once you position your animation so that it is on the white area of your doves , left click, this will place it onto your frames.
Now right click again on your 1st frame of your banner, & click Paste - then click Into Selected Frame - now move your mouse again until you see the white ball of your animation - now without clicking move your mouse so that white animation ball is now on the white spot of the doves on the right side of your banner. Once you have it in place , left click to place your animation.
Now you will want to view your animation to make sure you are happy with it. If for some reason you are not happy with the placement of your animation, you can always click your undo arrow until your animation is off your frames, then try to place it again.
If you are happy with your animation, all that is left is to save your new animated banner as a GIF file.
How To Make The Avatar :
Start by opening a 125 X 175 transparent canvas.
Go to Selections - click Select All -
Now open Paper 4 - Copy & paste it as a new layer onto your canvas. Then re-size it to 50%. Now go to Selections & click Invert - now on your keyboard - press your delete key 1 time.
Then go back to Selections & click Select None.
Go to Adjust, click Sharpness, then click Sharpen.
Now on your paper 4 layer - go to Selections - click Select All then Selections again & click Float - then go to Selections again & click Defloat -
Now open your tube of choice - Copy & paste it as a new layer onto your canvas - then re-size it to 80%. Position it to your liking.
Now go to Selections & click Invert - then on your keyboard press your delete key 1 time.
Now go back to Selections & click Select None.
Now on your Tube layer - go to Effects - click Plugins - then click Xero - then Radiance.
(You can use my settings or your own)
Click Ok.
Now apply a drop shadow to your tube. (Use the same settings you used for your banner tube & elements.)
Now open your Vine Flowers - Copy & paste it as a new layer onto your canvas - then re-size it to 30%. Using your move tool position your Vine Flowers to the left side of your canvas, then go to Effects - click Plugins - then click Radiance - use same settings as before.
Now apply a drop shadow.
Go to your layers pallet - right click on your Vine Flowers layer & click Duplicate. Now go to Image & click Mirror.
Back to your layers pallet - right click on your duplicated Vine Flowers layer - then click Merge - then click Merge Down.
Now move your merged Vine Flowers layer below your tube layer.
Now in your layers pallet - click on the very bottom layer in the pallet -
Now go to Selections - click Select All - Selections again & click Modify then click Contract from the slide out menu. Set to 4 & click ok.
Now go to Selections & click Invert -
Now set your background color to #ffffff
Make a new raster layer -
Now using your Flood fill tool, click inside the 2 marching ants lines.
Go to Selections & click Select None.
Back in your layers pallet - move your border layer to the very top of your layers pallet.(Above all other layers)
Now follow those same steps again, only this time set your Contract to 2 & your background color to #6c5b6b
Remember to move your 2nd border to the top of your layers pallet - above your 1st border.
Now in your layers pallet - click on your 1st border layer - go to Adjust, click Add/Remove Noise - then click Add Noise - set to Uniform , 100 then make sure the monochrome box is checked & then click Ok.
Now add your name. Using the same font y
you used for your banner.
Font : Carpenter Script
Size : 40
Color : #6c5b6b
Now apply the same gradient glow you used for the name on your banner.
Also add your copyright/credit information.
Font : Pixelette
Size : 10 Pixels
Color : #000000
Also apply a gradient glow to this text as well.
Now in your layers pallet - close of the following layers :
Both border layers
Name
Copyright info
Tube
Vine Flowers
Then go to Edit - click Copy Special - then click Copy Merged.
Go to your Animation Shop
Right click in the grey work area -
Click Paste As New Animation -
Now you will need to make 15 frames - just like you did for your banner. So use your Ctrl & L key .
Once you get your 15 frames, you will need to select them all. So use your Ctrl & A key to do that.
Now on your animation frames, press your shift & s keys to open the re-size menu - set it to Percent & then set it to 30 & click Ok.
Now make sure all 15 of your animation frames are still selected - go to the 1st frame & click Copy.
Now go to your avatars 1st frame & right click - then click Paste - then click Into Selected Frame.
Now move your mouse around until your animation is visible. Then once you see your animation - then once you have moved your animation to where you want it left click your mouse to place the animation.
Now view your animation to make sure you are happy with it.
Now go back to your PSP -
Unhide all the layers that you hid before - then hide the following layers
Vine Flowers
Paper 4 layer.
Now go to Edit - click Copy Special - then click Copy Merged -
Go to your Animation Shop & follow the same steps as you did for the background part of your avatar.
Once you have placed the top part of your avatar onto your background & animation frames, view your animation as a whole to make sure you like it.
Now all that is left is to save it as a GIF file & you have completed this tutorial!!♥
