"For Dakota" Autism Awareness Tutorial

**This tutorial was written by Ditzy Dezigns on April 20,2013, any resemblance to any other tutorial is purely coincidental & completely unintentional!. **

Here is the tag we will be making :
Basic knowledge of Paint Shop Pro is required 
 
Supplies Needed :
Scrapkit :"For Dakota" Autism Awareness by DitzyDezigns available @ Wickedly Ditzy Scraps
PaintShop Pro X5 - Any version should work
Mask Of Choice (Optional)
Template 48 By Kandi Kissez
My Autism Awareness Word Art - (Right click & save to your pc)
Font : Girls Are Weird
 Eye Candy 4 Gradient Glow (Optional)
 
 
Lets Begin :
Always remember that you are not only limited to use what elements are in my tutorials, you can put any of the elements from this kit onto your tag, so play around with them & have fun!! 
Start by opening your Template - then go to your layers pallet & delete the following layers :
Kandi wordart
Wordart Back
Pixel Wording
Background 
Glitter Circle
Credit (AFTER you have left a thank-you message for downloading)
 
Now in your layers pallet - click on the Black Oval layer - go to Selections - click Select All, 
then go to Selections again - click Float - then Selections again and click Defloat -
 
Now open Paper 12 - copy & paste it as a new layer onto your canvas - then go to Selections - click Invert - then on your keyboard, press your delete key 1 time.
Go back to Selections & click Select None.
Go to your layers pallet - delete the ORIGINAL Black Oval layer.
 
Now you will follow the exact same steps above for each layer listed below, I have also included the Paper # that I used for each layer, however you may use which ever paper you would like from the kit.
*Top Red Squares Layer - Paper 8*
*Left Rectangle Back Layer - Paper 5*
*Right Rectangle Back Layer - Paper 5*
*Left Red Circle Layer - Paper 11*
*Right Red Circle Layer - Paper 11*
*Center Red Circle Layer - Paper 7*
*Black Rectangle Layer - Paper 9 *
*Small Frame Backs - Paper 10*
 
**Remember after you do each layer to delete the ORIGINAL layer**
 
Now in your layers pallet - click on your Stars Layer - Go to Effects - click 3D Effects - then click Drop Shadow. Now set your settings to your desired effect & click Ok.
**I have included my settings below, you are more than welcome to use them if you wish, but by no means do you have too**
 
 Now in your layers pallet - click on your Small Frame Back layer - 
Go to Selections - click Select All - Float - Defloat 
Now open your Girl 1 element - Copy & paste it as a new layer onto your canvas - then re-size it to approx 75% (or size of your choice) , now using your move tool, position your Girl element so she is centered within the right side frame. 
Then go to Selections - click Invert - now on your keyboard - press your Delete key 1 time.
Go to Selections - click Select None.

Now repeat those exact same steps above only this time open your Boy 1 element & place him in the left frame.
Now apply a Drop Shadow to both your Boy & Girl elements. Use the same settings as previously, or you can change them up, its your choice.

Now Open your Kids element - Copy & paste it as a new layer onto your canvas, then re-size it to 75%, then using your move tool, position your Kids element center between your frames. (See my tag for reference if you would like)
Once happy with placement of your Kids element - apply a drop shadow. Again using the same settings as above, or settings of your choice.

Open your Dog element - Copy & paste as a new layer onto your canvas - resize to 45%, use your move tool & position to your liking. Apply Drop Shadow.

Open your Splat 2 element - Copy & paste as a new layer - resize to 75%, use your move tool & position to your liking. Apply Drop Shadow

Open Splat 3 Element - Copy & paste as a new layer - resize to 75%, use your move tool & position to your liking. Apply Drop Shadow.

Open your Rainbow 2 Element - Copy & paste as a new layer onto your canvas , use your move tool & position to your liking. Apply Drop Shadow.

Open Butterfly 1 Element - Copy & paste as a new layer onto your canvas - then re-size it to 55%, using your move tool position to the right side of your template (or position however you would like). Then apply your Drop Shadow.
Now go to your layers pallet - right click on your Butterfly 1 layer - then click Duplicate.
Go to Image - click Flip Horizontal , then using your move tool again position your duplicated Butterfly 1 element to your liking on the left side of your template.

Open your Puzzle 3 Element - Copy & paste it as a new layer onto your canvas - then re-size it to 55%, using your move tool position to your liking. Apply Drop Shadow.

Open Puzzle 5 Element - Copy & paste it as a new layer onto your canvas - then re-size it to 55% , now using your move tool position to your liking. Apply Drop Shadow.

Open your Green Crayon Element - Copy & paste as a new layer onto your canvas - then go to Image - click Free Rotate , set settings to your liking, OR use my settings below :

 Click Ok - then Apply a Drop Shadow to your Crayon.

Open your Orange Crayon - Copy & paste as a new layer onto your canvas - then using your move tool - position to the top of your frames. (See my tag for reference if needed) Now apply a Drop Shadow to your Orange Crayon element.

Open your Autism Awareness Wordart from where you saved it on your pc (It is available at the beginning of the tutorial, just click on it, then on the new window right click and then click Save As )

Now copy & paste your Autism Awareness wordart onto your canvas - position to your liking.
Apply a Drop Shadow to your wordart.

Open Bow 1 Element - Copy & paste it as a new layer onto your canvas - then re-size it to 55%. Using your move tool position to your liking. Then apply a Drop Shadow.

Open Lollipop Element - Copy & paste as a new layer onto your canvas - then re-size it to 55%, then go to Image - click Free Rotate - use my settings below or your own :


Then click Ok, then apply your Drop Shadow.

Open Potted Flowers Element - Copy & paste as a new layer - then re-size it to 75%, using your move tool position your Potted Flowers element to the right side of your Kids element. (Or position to your liking) . Apply a Drop Shadow.

Then go to your layers pallet - right click on your Potted Flowers layer - then click Duplicate - then go to Image - click Flip Horizontal - Now using your move tool - position your Duplicated Potted Flowers element to the left side of your Kids element. (Or position to your liking)

Open Balloon 1 - Copy & paste as a new layer onto your canvas - then re-size to 75% - Go to Image - click Free Rotate - then set your settings & click Ok (You can use my settings below or your own)

Click Ok, then using your move tool position to the right side of your template (see my tag for reference. ) 
Apply a Drop Shadow.

Open Balloon 2 Element - Follow the same steps as you did for Balloon 1 element, only this time, Rotate your Balloon 2 Element to the left instead of the right.



Now open your Flower 4 Element - Copy & paste it as a new layer onto your canvas - then re-size it to 55%, using your move tool position to your liking.
 Apply a Drop Shadow.

Then if you would like - go to your layers pallet - right click on your Flower 4 layer - click Duplicate - then re-size your duplicated Flower 4 element to 55%. Position on your tag. Then you can right click on your Duplicated Flower 4 layer & duplicate it a couple more times and position each one around your tag if you would like (Optional)

Open Flower 3 - Follow the same steps as you did above for your Flower 4 Element. Including Duplicating it & re-sizing your duplicated one and positioning around your tag. Again this part is optional.

Open Candy Stick Element - Copy & paste it as a new layer onto your canvas - then go to Image - click Free Rotate - 
Click Ok , then using your move tool position your candy stick element to your liking ,then  apply a Drop Shadow.

Open Ribbon 1 Element - Copy & paste as a new layer onto your canvas - then re-size it to 75%, using your move tool position your Ribbon 1 element to your liking. Then apply a Drop Shadow.

Open Ribbon 2 Element - Copy & paste as a new layer onto your canvas - then re-size it to 75%, using your move tool position your Ribbon 2 element to your liking. Then apply a Drop Shadow.
 
Open Puzzle 2 Element - Copy & paste as a new layer onto your canvas - then re-size to 55%, now go to Image - click Free Rotate - 
 
Click Ok - then using your move tool position to your liking.
Now apply a drop shadow to your Puzzle 2 element.

Open Puzzle 4 Element - Follow same steps as you did for your Puzzle 2 element, only this time rotate it to the left.

Open Puzzle 1 - Follow same steps as you did for Puzzle 4 element. Apply drop shadow.

Now open your Red Crayon Element - Copy & paste it as a new layer onto your canvas - then go to Image - click Free Rotate - use my settings below or your own :

Click Ok - then using your move tool , position to your liking. Then apply a Drop Shadow.

Open your Heart 2 Element - Copy & paste it as a new layer onto your canvas - then re-size it to 45%. Using your move tool position your Heart 2 element to the left side of your template - apply a drop shadow.

Then go to your layers pallet - right click on your Heart 2 layer - click Duplicate. Go to Image - click Flip Horizontal , then using your move tool position your duplicated Heart 2 element to the right side of your template.

Now open your Boy 2 element - Copy & paste it as a new layer onto your canvas - then re-size it to 55%, then go to Image - Free Rotate - Settings below :


Click Ok - Now using your move tool, position your Boy 2 element to the left side of your template. (See my tag for reference if needed) 
Then apply a drop shadow.

Open your Girl 2 Element - Copy & & paste it as a new layer onto your canvas - then re-size it to 55%, then go to Image - Free Rotate - Settings below :
 
 
Click Ok - Now using your move tool, position your Girl  2 element to the right side of your template. (See my tag for reference if needed) 
Then apply a drop shadow.
 
Now you can add Sparkles if you would like, totally your choice.
 
Now you can add your name to your tag. I used "Girls Are Weird" font for my tag. Size I used was 75 Pixels. Then I used the colors from the kit - which the color pallet is included in the kit when you purchase it.
 
Once you have your name positioned to your liking, go to your layers pallet
 right click on any layer - then click Merge - then click Merge Visible.

Then re-size your tag to your preferred size - then Save your tag!

Sunshine N Rainbows Tutorial

Supplies Needed :

PaintShop Pro X5 - Any version should work
Mask Of Choice
Template 34 by Temps By Fired By Flamin
Font : Centeria Script Demo 
 Eye Candy 4 Gradient Glow (Optional)

Elements Used :
Dragonfly 3
Bow 4
Flowers 1 & 2
Ribbon 1 & 2
Bee 1
Butterfly 1 & 2
Sun
Mushroom
Potted Flowers 2
Frog
Rainbow 2
Bees
Grass
Tree
Swirl 1
Unicorn 2
Girl 1
Sparkles 2
Pop 2

Lets Begin :
Always remember that you are not only limited to use what elements are in my tutorials, you can put any of the elements from this kit onto your tag, so play around with them & have fun!! 

Start by opening your Template 34, Now go to your layers pallet & delete the following layers :
Background, Square 2 & Border 2, 
Also delete the Credit layer AFTER you have left a thank-you on the designers blog.

Now Open Paper 10 from the kit (or a paper of your choice)
In your layers pallet make sure you are on the last layer - Then copy & paste your paper as a new layer - Then in your layers pallet, move your Paper layer down so that it is the last layer in your layers pallet.

Now apply a mask of your choice.

Once you apply your mask, go back to your layers pallet, right click on your mask layer - click Merge, then click Merge Group.
Now using your move tool, move your Mask on your canvas so that it is in the upper left corner behind your template. Then in your layers pallet, right click on your mask layer - then click Duplicate. Go to Image - click Flip Horizontal. Then using your move tool move your Duplicated mask to the upper right corner behind your template.

Now in your layers pallet, right click on your top mask layer - click Merge - then click Merge Down.
Then right click on your newly merged Mask layer - click Duplicate.
Go to Images - click Flip Vertical. Then use your move tool to position your duplicated Mask to the bottom of your template. (See my tag for reference if needed)

Now in your layers pallet - click on the layer titled "Pink Circle"
Go to Selections - click Select All
Go to Selections again - click Float
Go to Selections again - click Defloat

Now open Paper 6 - Copy & paste your paper as a new layer - then go to Selections - click Invert.
Then on your keyboard, press your delete key 1 time.
Go back to Selections & click Select None.
Go to your layers pallet & delete your ORIGINAL "Pink Circle" layer.

You will follow the steps above for EACH layer of your template. I have listed below what papers from my kit that I used :
Black Oval 1 Layer - Paper 12
Black Oval 2 Layer - Paper 11
Grey Rectangle Layer - Paper 9
White Rectangle Layer - Paper 2
Circle Border Layer - Paper 10
Black Circle Layer - Paper 1 (I re-sized this paper to 80% before clicking Invert)
Square 1 Layer - Paper 12
Square Border 1 Layers - Paper 8

Now lets add some elements :

Open your Girl 1 element - Copy & paste it onto your canvas as a new layer - re-size to approx 80% (or to your liking)
Go to Effects - click 3D Effects - Click Drop Shadow - adjust your settings to your liking. click Ok.

Now open your Unicorn 2 element - Copy & paste as a new layer onto your canvas - re-size to 50%, using your move tool position your Unicorn element to your liking, now apply your drop shadow. Use the same settings as you used for your Girl element.


Now in your layers pallet - click on your Square 1 layer - Go to Selections - click Select All, Float - Defloat -
Open Girl 3 - Copy & paste as a new layer onto your canvas, re-size to 80%, then using your move tool, position your Girl 3 element within your marching ants. Once you are happy with placement, go to Selections - click Invert - then on your keyboard press your delete key 1 time.
Go to Selections - click Select None.
In your layers pallet make sure your Girl 3 element is between the Square 1 border & Square 1 layers.
Now at the top of your layers pallet - change your Blend Mode to Luminance (L)
Now in your layers pallet - click on your Square 1 Border layer - then right click on that layer - click Merge - then click Merge Down. 
Now right click on your newly merged layer - click Merge - then click Merge Down.
So your 3 layers should now be 1.
Back on your canvas, use your move tool to position your Square 1 (that has your girl 3 element in it) to your liking. (Or you can use my tag for reference, I moved mine over to the left)

Now in your layers pallet - click on your Circle layer - 
Then open your Swirl 1 element - copy & paste it as a new layer onto your canvas - then re-size your element to 80%  , 2 times.
Using your move tool position your Swirl 1 element to the right side of your canvas.
Now apply a drop shadow (use same settings as before)
Now go to your layers pallet - right click on your Swirl 1 layer - click Duplicate.
Go to Image - click Flip Horizontal. 
Back on your canvas - using your move tool, position your Duplicated Swirl 1 element to the left side of your canvas.

Now open your Fence 3 element - Copy & paste it as a new layer onto your canvas - then re-size your fence to 85%.
Using your move tool adjust the position to your liking.
Apply drop shadow (same settings as before)
In your layers pallet - make sure your Fence layer is below your Girl 1 & Unicorn 2 layers.

Now open your Tree element - Copy & paste it as a new layer onto your canvas - then re-size it to 80% , 2 times.
Using your move tool position your Tree element to your liking. & apply your drop shadow.

Now open your Grass element - copy & paste it as a new layer onto your canvas - then re-size your Grass to 50%, using your move tool - position your Grass element to the left side of your template. (Making sure in your layers pallet that your Grass layer is ABOVE your fence layer)
Now go to your layers pallet - right click on your Grass layer - then click Duplicate.
Using your move tool - move your Duplicated grass element to the right side of your template. You will overlap the 2 elements just a bit so that it looks straight.
Once you are happy with placement of both of your grass elements, go to your layers pallet - right click on the TOP Grass layer - click Merge - then click Merge Down.
Now you can apply a small drop shadow to your Grass element if you would like.

Now open your Bees element - Copy & paste it as a new layer onto your canvas - then re-size it to 60% , using your move tool, position your Bees element on your template to your liking.
Now apply a drop shadow.

Now open your Rainbow 2 element - Copy & paste it as a new layer onto your canvas.
Now re-size your Rainbow to your liking, I re-sized mine to approx 80%. But its totally your preference.
Position to your liking, then apply a drop shadow.
In your layers pallet - move your Rainbow 2 layer down so it is below your Fence layer.
I also rotated my Rainbow 2 element a couple of times, this is totally optional.

Now open your Frog element - Copy & paste it as a new layer onto your canvas - then re-size it to 50%. Then using your move tool position your Frog element to your liking. Then apply drop shadow.

Open your Potted Flowers 2 element - Copy & paste as a new layer onto your canvas - then re-size to 60%, using your move tool position to your liking.
Apply a drop shadow.

 Open Mushroom 1 element - Copy & paste it as a new layer onto your canvas - then re-size it to 60%, then using your move tool position to your liking & apply a drop shadow.

Open Sun 2 element - Copy & paste it as a new layer onto your canvas - re-size to 80% , 2 times.
Use your move tool to position to your liking. Apply a drop shadow.

Open Butterfly 1 element - Copy & paste it as a new layer onto your canvas - then re-size it to 45%. Using your move tool position to your liking. Apply drop shadow.

Open Butterfly 2 element - Copy & paste it as a new layer onto your canvas  - then re-size it to 45%, then using your move tool, position to your liking. Apply a drop shadow.

Open Bee 1 element - Copy & paste as a new layer onto your canvas - then re-size to 80%, then using your move tool position to your liking. Apply a drop shadow.

Open Ribbon 2 - Copy & paste as a new layer onto your canvas - using your move tool position your Ribbon 2 element to your liking. Apply a drop shadow.

Open Flower 1 element - Copy & paste as a new layer onto your canvas - then re-size it to 45%, then using your move tool position your Flower 1 element to your liking & apply a drop shadow.

Open Flower 2 element - Copy & paste as a new layer onto your canvas - then re-size it to 45%, then using your move tool position your Flower 2 element to your liking & apply a drop shadow.

Open Dragonfly 3 element - Copy & paste as a new layer onto your canvas - then re-size to 45%, using your move tool position to your liking. Apply a drop shadow.

Open Pop 2 - Copy & paste as new layer onto your canvas - re-size to approx 50%, using your move tool position to your liking. Apply a drop shadow

Open Bow 4 - Copy & paste as a new layer onto your canvas - then re-size to 50%. Using your move tool position to your liking. Apply a drop shadow. **Optional - I duplicated my Bow 4 layer - and positioned the 2nd one also on my template**

Open Ribbon 1 - Copy & paste as a new layer onto your canvas - re-size to approx 80%, using your move tool position to your liking - apply a drop shadow.

Open Sparkles 2 - Copy & paste as a new layer onto your canvas - using your move tool position your Sparkles 2 element to the upper right side of your template. Now go to your layers pallet - right click on your Sparkles 2 layer - click Duplicate.
Go to Image - click Flip Horizontal - then on your canvas use your move tool and position your duplicated Sparkles 2 element to the upper left of your template. (See my tag for reference.)

Now add your name of choice - I used a font called :
Centeria Script Demo
The colors I used for my name are included in the kit when you purchase it. I just alternated each letter with a new color.
Then I went to Adjust - clicked Add/Remove Noise - added Noise , then went to Effects - Plugins - Eye Candy 4 Gradient Glow - applied a white gradient glow - then applied a drop shadow. :0)

Once you have everything positioned the way you like it, go to your layers pallet - right click on any layer - click Merge - then click Merge Visible.
Re-size your tag as a whole if you so wish & thats it! You have completed this tutorial!!

Sweet Emo 2

Here is what we will be making :

Supplies Needed :
Paint Shop Pro X4 (Any version should work)
Tube of choice - I used the amazing work of Myka Jelina ( I am not sure where she is currently selling her PSP Tubes)
Scrapkit - Sweet Emo 2 By Angel's Designz

Plugins Used :
Eye Candy 4000 - Gradient Glow

Lets Begin :

 
Open a new 800x650 transparent canvas.
Open Frame 2- Copy & Paste as a new layer onto your canvas. Then Re-size it to 75%.
Go To Objects- Click Align then Click "center" in a canvas.
Magic wand- click inside your frame 2 element then go to Selections- click modify- then click expand, set 10 & click ok.
Make a new roster Layer.
Open Paper 2- Copy & Paste it "Into Selections"
Go to Selections- Click select none.
Go to layer Pallet- move paper 2 layer down.
So it is directly under your frame 2 layer.
Open tube of choice-
Copy & Paste as new layer
Right Click on tube layer- click duplicate
Go To Adjust- Blur- Gaussian Blur- set to 5.00 click ok.
Then change Blend Mode to overlay.
Then go to Effects- 3D Effects- Drop Shadow.

Layers Pallet- Click on frame layer.
Open Ribbon 1- Copy & Paste as new layer- position to bottom of frame 2.
Open Ribbon 2- Copy & Paste as a new layer onto your canvas.
Re-size to 85% position to the left on your frame.
Apply Drop Shadow (Same settings as Before)
Go to Layers Pallet- right click on Ribbon 2 layer- then click duplicate- go to Image- click flip horizontal- use move tool to position to right side of frame.
Layers Pallet- click on top tube layer.

Open Skull Element- Copy & Paste it as a new layer- then resize it to 35%,
then position to your liking.
Layers Pallet- right click on your skull layer. Then Click Duplicate.
Apply Drop Shadow to both.
Open Heart + Bead String- Copy & Paste it as a new layer onto your canvas.
Then Resize to 55% using your move tool move your heart + bead string so that it is lined up with your skull element on the left.
Go to Layers pallet- move your heart + bead string below both your skull layers.
Apply Drop Shadow to both Heart + Bead String.
Open Bear Element- Copy & Paste as a new layer.
Then Resize to 55%.
Now Use your move tool+ Position your bear element to the lower right side of your frame.
Apply Drop Shadow.
Brad- Copy & Paste- as a new layer
Resize to 30%, then using your Move Tool, Position to your liking.
Open Flower 1, 2, 3- Copy & Paste- each one to your canvas, resizing each one to 35%.
Now Position each 1 to your liking. Apply a Drop Shadow to each flower.
Open Star Sucker- Copy & Paste as a new layer.
Resize to 80%, then go to Image free Rotate- Set to Right 30.00 click ok.
Position to right side.
Apply Drop Shadow.
Layer Pallet- right click on Star Sucker Layer- click duplicate.
Then on Duplicated Star Sucker layer go to Image- Click Flip Horizontal.
Use move tool to position duplicate element to the left side.
Open Cotton Candy- Copy & Paste as a new layer. Resize to 40%.
Image Free Rotate- Set to Left 30.00 click ok.

 
Position to upper left side.
Apply drop Shadow.
Layers Pallet- right Click on cotton candy layer- duplicate- Image Flip Horizontal- use move tool- position to right side.
Layers Pallet- click on bottom on last layer in pallet.
Open Wire Element- Copy & Paste as a new Layer. Resize to 90%.
Use Move Tool to Position.
Slight Drop Shadow.
Layer Pallet- Click on RIbbon 1 Layer.
Open String Element- Copy & Paste as a new layer.
Position towards bottom of Frame.
Open Wordart 1- Copy & Paste as a new layer- position to bottom of tube.
Layer Pallet- Move wordart layer down below both tube layers.
Go to Effects- Plugins- Eye Candy 4
Gradient Glow- Settings Below:
Basic Tab :

Color Tab :

Click Ok

Then Apply Drop Shadow.
Go to Layers pallet- right click on wordart layer- duplicate- then on duplicate layer- go to Image- free rotate. Set to left 30.00 click ok.
Use Move tool to position towards Middle of Tag.
Layer Pallet- Open Sparkles- copy & paste as new layer.
Position to top of Tag.
Then go to Layers pallet- right click on sparkle layer- duplicate- go to Image- flip Vertical, use move tool & position towards Bottom of Tag.
Add Name:
 
Font: Gotica Bastard
Size: 125 Pixels
Background Color: #5be8f9
Foreground Color: Set to Nul

Layer Pallet- Right click on text layer- click convert to raster layer-
Now go to  Adjust -  then click Add Noise. Set to your liking & click Ok.

Go to Effects- Plugins- Eye Candy 4000
Gradient Glow - use the same settings you used above.
Then apply a drop shadow to your name if you would like.

Now add your copyright & license information. (Very import)

Now if you are happy with your tag, go to your layers pallet - right click on any layer - click Merge - then click Merge Visible.

If you have access canvas around your tag, you can crop your tag at this time.

Now all that is left is to save your tag as a PNG file!
