♥Spooks 4 Treats PTU (Animated)♥

Here is what we will be making :

Supplies Needed :

Paint Shop Pro X2 (Any version should work)

Animation Shop

Scrapkit - Spooks 4 Treats By Angel's Designz

Template - Template 2 Collab Temps By♥Brunette & MzDixi♥ @ Creative Misfits Creations Blog

Plugins Used :

Eye Candy 5 Impact - Gradient Glow (Optional)

Eye Candy 5 Impact - Glass (Optional)

Eye Candy 4000 - Gradient Glow (Optional)

Lets Begin :

Start by opening your template 2. Go to your layers pallet & delete the following layers -

Credit

Spider Web

Drip Square

Orange & Green Rectangle

Halloween Wordart

Spooky Wordart

Now go back to your layers pallet - click on your White Bright Noise Rectangle layer - then go to Effects - click 3D Effects - then click Drop Shadow.

(You are welcome to use my settings or you own. This applies for any settings you see through out this tutorial)

Click Ok.

Now in your layers pallet - click on your Black Rectangle layer - go to Selections - click Select All - Selections again & click Float - then Selections again & click Defloat -

Now open Paper 4 - Copy & paste it as a new layer onto your canvas - then go to Selections & click Invert. Then on your keyboard press your delete key 1 time. Then go back to Selections & click Select None.

Go back to your layers pallet & delete your original Black Rectangle layer.

Now in your layers pallet - click on your Green Rectangle layer - Selections - Select All - Float - Defloat -

Open Paper 1 - Copy & paste it as a new layer onto your canvas - then go to Selections - click Invert - then on your keyboard press your delete key 1 time. Go back to Selections & click Select None.

Go back to your layers pallet & delete your original Green Rectangle layer.

Now click on your Spider Web Circle - Selections - Select All - Float - Defloat -

Open Paper 4 - Copy & paste it as a new layer onto your canvas - then go to Selections - click Invert - then on your keyboard press your delete key 1 time. Go back to Selections & click Select None.

Go to your layers pallet & delete the original Spider Web Circle layer.

Now in your layers pallet - click on your White Bright Noise Circle - go to Effects - 3D Effects - Drop Shadow. Apply the same settings you used above.

Now in your layers pallet - click on your Bottom Green Square layer - Selections - Select All - Float - Defloat -

Now open Paper 15 - Copy & paste it as a new layer onto your canvas - then go to Selections - Invert . Then on your keyboard press your delete key 1 time. Now go back to Selections & click Select None.

Then go to Effects - Plugins - Eye Candy 5 Impact - Gradient Glow

Click Ok.

Now go back to Effects - 3D Effects - Drop Shadow. Use the same settings you used previously.

Go to your layers pallet & delete your original Bottom Green Square layer.

Now in your layers pallet - click on your Top Orange Square layer - follow the same steps you did for your Bottom Green Square. This time apply Paper 16. Remember to apply your Gradient Glow (See screen shot below for different color code) & Drop Shadow.

Then delete your original Top Orange Square layer.

Now click on layer 15 in your layers pallet - go to Effects - 3D Effects - Drop Shadow. (Same settings as before)

Lets add some elements :

Open your Lights element - Copy & paste it as a new layer onto your canvas - then re-size it to 80%. Use your move tool & position to the bottom of your template.

Then go to Adjust - Sharpness - Sharpen

Effects - 3D Effects - Drop Shadow (Same settings)

Go to your layers pallet - right click on your Lights layer - click Duplicate. Now use your move tool to position your duplicated light element to the top of your template.

Open your Web element - Copy & Paste it as a new layer onto your canvas - then re-size it to 80%. Position it to the middle of your center circle.

Adjust - Sharpness - Sharpen

Effects - 3D Effects - Drop Shadow (same settings)

(If you wish to not animate your tag then skip these next steps & continue where it says Open Pumpkin element)

Now go to your layers pallet - right click on your Web layer - then click Duplicate. Then right click on your Duplicated Web layer - then click Duplicate again.

Now rename your 3 Web layers, starting from the bottom Web layer - Web 1, Web 2 & Web 3.

Now still in your layers pallet - close off your Web 2 & Web 3 layers - click on your Web 1 layer, (to make it active.)

Go to Effects - click Plugins - Alien Skin Xenofex 2 - Constellation

(Your settings can be the same as mine or you can change them up, its all up to your personal preference.)

Then click Ok.

Now click the eye next to your Web 2 layer to unhide it. Then click the eye next to your Web 1 layer to close it off. Then click on your Web 2 layer.

Now go to Effects - Plugins - Alien Skin Xenofex 2 - Constellation

This time the only click your Random Seed button 1 time.

Click Ok.

Now back in your layers pallet - click the eye next to your Web 3 layer to open it. Then click the eye next to your Web 2 layer to hide it. Then click on your Web 3 layer to activate it.

Go back to Effects - Plugins - Alien Skin Xenofex 2 - Constellation.

This time again you will just click the Random Seed button.

Click Ok.

Now so that you are ready come time to animated, unhide your Web 1 layer (by clicking the eye next to it.) Then make sure your Web 2 & Web 3 layers are closed by clicking the eye's next to each of those layers.

Open your Pumpkin element - Copy & paste it as a new layer onto your canvas then re-size it to 40%. Now use your move tool & position it to your liking.

Sharpen & apply a drop shadow (Same settings as before)

Open your Ghost element - Copy & paste it as a new layer onto your canvas - then position to your liking. (I did not re-size my Ghost element, you can if you desire.)

Now go to Effects - Plugins - Eye Candy 5 Impact - Glass

Click Ok.

Now apply a drop shadow.

Open your Bat element - Copy & paste it as a new layer onto your canvas - then re-size it to 30%. Position it to your liking.

Now go to Effects - click Plugins - Eye Candy 4000 - Gradient Glow

Click Ok.

Apply a drop shadow.

Now go to your layers pallet - right click on your Bat layer - then click Duplicate. Go to Image & click Mirror.

Use your move tool to adjust the position of your duplicated Bat element if needed.

Open your Bow 1 element - Copy & paste it as a new layer onto your canvas - then re-size it to 30%. Position it to your liking.

Sharpen & apply a drop shadow

Open your Bow 3 element - Copy & paste it as a new layer onto your canvas - then re-size it to 30%. Position to your liking.

Sharpen & apply a drop shadow.

Open your CandyCorn 2 element - Copy & Paste it as a new layer onto your canvas - then re-size it to 20%. Position to your liking.

Sharpen & apply a drop shadow.

Open your CandyCorn 1 element - Copy & paste it as a new layer onto your canvas - then re-size it to 20%. Position to your liking.

Sharpen & apply a drop shadow.

Open your Wordart element - Copy & Paste it as a new layer onto your canvas - then re-size it to 50%. Position to your liking.

Sharpen & apply a drop shadow.

Open your Spider element - Copy & paste it as a new layer onto your canvas - then re-size it to 40%. Then go to Image - click Free Rotate - set it to Right 30.00 & click Ok.

Position it to your liking.

Sharpen & apply a drop shadow.

Open your Skull element - Copy & paste it as a new layer onto your canvas - then re-size it to 25%. Position it to your liking.

Sharpen & apply a drop shadow.

Open your Ribbon element - Copy & Paste it as a new layer onto your canvas - then position it to your liking. (I did not re-size this element.)

Sharpen & apply a drop shadow.

Open your Winged Skull element - Copy & Paste it as a new layer onto your canvas - then re-size it to 30%. Position to your liking.

Sharpen & apply a drop shadow.

Go to your layers pallet - right click on your Winged Skull layer - then click Duplicate. Then use your move tool to position your duplicated Winged Skull element to your liking.

Open your Splat 2 element - Copy & paste it as a new layer onto your canvas - then position it to the upper left corner of your template. Now in your layers pallet - move your Splat 2 layer down until it is directly above your white background layer. Now right click on your Splat 2 layer - then click Duplicate. Then go to Image & click Mirror.

Now go back to your layers pallet - right click on your duplicated Splat 2 layer - then click Merge - Merge Down.

Now right click on your newly merged Splat2 layer - then click Duplicate. Now go to Image & click Flip.

Now open your Stars element - Copy & paste it as a new layer onto your canvas. Use your move tool & position them towards the bottom of your template. Now go to your layers pallet - right click on your Stars layer - then click Duplicate. Now go to Image & click Flip.

Position with your move tool if needed.

Open your Sparkles element - Copy & Paste it as a new layer onto your canvas - then position it to the bottom of your template. Then in your layers pallet - move your Sparkles layer down under your Pumpkin layer.

Then right click on your Sparkles layer - click Duplicate. Go to Image & click Flip. Then use your move tool to adjust the position of your Sparkle elements if needed.

Now you will want to add your name & any copyright/credit information needed.

For the name I used :

Font : Respective

Size : 72 Pixels (Depends on the length of your name, adjust your size according to your preference.)

Background Color : #8800b8

Foreground Color : Set to nul

Once you have your name applied to your tag & positioned to your liking, go to your layers pallet - right click on your name layer - then click Convert To Raster Layer.

Then go to Effects - Plugins - Eye Candy 5 Impact - Gradient Glow

Click Ok.

Now go to Effects - 3D Effects - Drop Shadow. Apply the same settings you have used through out this tutorial.

Now if needed activate your Crop tool - crop off any access canvas that you did not use.

Open your Animation Shop -

Go back to PSP -

In your layers pallet - click on your Web 1 layer (make sure the eye is visible) also make sure your Web 2 & Web 3 layers are closed.

Go to Edit - Copy Special - Copy Merged

Go to Animation Shop -

Right click in the grey work area - click Paste As New Animation

Go back to PSP -

Now click on your Web 2 layer - click the eye next to it to unhide it. Then click the eye next to your Web 1 layer to hide it.

Edit - Copy Special - Copy Merged -

Go to Animation Shop -

Right click inside Frame 1 (the one you just put there) then click Paste - Then click After Current Animation

Back to PSP -

Now click on your Web 3 layer - click the eye next to it to unhide the layer - then click the eye next to your Web 2 layer to hide it. Also make sure the eye next to your Web 1 layer is closed as well.

Edit - Copy Special - Copy Merged -

Go to Animation Shop -

Right click inside Frame 2 - (the one you just put there) then click Paste - After Current Frame-

Now you will want to view your animation.

If you are happy with everything, you will want to re-size your tag , this size will depend on where you intend to use your tag.

(Hint- To re-size in Animation Shop - on your keyboard - use your Shift & S keys together - this will open your re-size menu in your Animation Shop. Set the top Pixel size to your desired size & click Ok.)

Now all that is left is to save your tag as a GIF file & you have completed this tutorial!!♥
