♥PSP Addict PTU♥

**This tutorial was written & posted on June 1st 2011**
***Any resemblance to any other tutorial is purely coincidental & completely unintentional!!***

Here is what we will be making :

Supplies Needed :
Paint Shop Pro X2 (Any version should work)
Tube of choice - I used the amazing work of Elias Chatzoudis, you can now purchase his work at PTE
Scrapkit - PSP By Tamie @ Addictive Pleasures
Template PSP Addict  By Punky Butts

Plugins Used :
Eye Candy 5 Impact - Gradient Glow (Optional)

Font Used :
Shit Happens
Size : 125 Pixels
Color : #000000 (Black)

Elements Used :

Sparkles
String
Bow3
Glass Button

Raster Layer
Glitter
Decor

Lets Begin :

Start by opening your template psp addict.
Delete the credit layer.
Go to Image & click Canvas Size, set to 800 X 650 click Ok.

In the layers pallet, click on your Large Circle layer, go to Selections, click Select All, Selections again & click Float, Selections again & click Defloat..
(From here down when I use these commands I will just say "Selections - Select All - Float - Defloat- that way you will know where to locate those commands.)

Now open Paper 4, copy & paste it as a new layer onto your canvas, then go to Selections & click Invert, then on your keyboard press your delete key 1 time.
Go to Selections & click Select None.
In your layers pallet, delete your original Large Circle layer.

Now click on your lg circle Glittz layer, go to Selections - Select All - Float - Defloat -

Make a new raster layer -
Activate your flood fill tool -
Set your background color to #9730bf
Click Ok.
Now right click on your canvas between the marching ants.
Then go to Selections & click Select None.
Go to Adjust, click Add/Remove Noise, then click Add Noise from the slide out menu.
Set to Uniform 100 & make sure the monochrome box IS checked.
Click Ok.
Apply a drop shadow (Go to Effects, click 3D Effects, then click Drop Shadow.Set your settings to your liking, then click Ok.)

Now follow the same step for the sm circle Glittz as you did for the lg circle Glittz layer.

Now click on the Small Circle layer, go to Selections - Select All - Float - Defloat -
Open Paper 6, copy & paste it as a new layer onto your canvas, then go to Selections & click Invert, then on your keyboard press your delete key 1 time.
Selections, & click Select None.

Make sure you delete the original Small Circle layer from your layers pallet.

Now in your layers pallet, click on your Rectangle layer, Selections - Select All - Float - Defloat -

Open Paper 7, copy & paste it as  a new layer onto your canvas, go to Selections & click Invert, then on your keyboard press your delete key 1 time.
Selections & click Select None.
Delete your original Rectangle layer.

In your layers pallet, click on your Rectangle Glittz layer, Selections - Select All - Float - Defloat -
Make a new raster layer -
Set your background color to #9730bf
Activate your magic wand tool, then on your canvas, click inside the area between the marching ants.
Go to Selections & click Select None.
Now go to Adjust, click Add/Remove Noise then click Add Noise from slide out menu.
Set to Uniform, 100 & make sure the monochrome box IS checked & click Ok.
Apply a drop shadow.

Now in your layers pallet click on your wordart layer, Selections - Select All - Float - Defloat -
Now make a new raster layer -
Activate your flood fill tool, make sure your background color is still set to #9730bf
On your canvas click inside each letter in your wordart.
Now go to Effects, click Plugins , then click Eye Candy 5 - Impact , then click Glass (You can use my settings or your own :
 Click Ok
Now go to Adjust, click Add/Remove Noise, then click Add Noise from the slide out menu. Set to Uniform 40 & make sure your Monochrome box IS checked. 
Then click Ok.
Selections & click Select None

In your layers pallet , click on your wordart glittz layer, Go to Selections - Select All - Float - Defloat -
Make a new raster layer -
Set your foreground color to #ffffff (white)
Now on your canvas, click within the marching ants.
Go to Selections, click Select None.
Go to Adjust, click Add/Remove Noise set to Uniform 40 & make sure your Monochrome box IS checked.
Click Ok.
Apply a drop shadow to your new wordart glittz layer.

Now open your Materials element, copy & paste it as a new layer onto your canvas, then re-size it to 40%. Use your move tool & move it to the upper left corner of your template.
Go to Image & click Free Rotate, set to Left 30.00 & click Ok.
Now go to Adjust, click Sharpness then click Sharpen.
Apply a drop shadow.
Go to your layers pallet & move your Materials element layer below your Rectangle layer.

Open your Mask Layer element, copy & paste it as a new layer onto your canvas, then re-size it to 40%. Use your move tool to position it at the top of your canvas in the center, and next to your Materials element.
Sharpen & apply a drop shadow.
Open your Effects element, copy & paste it as a new layer onto your canvas, then re-size it to 40%. Use your move tool to position your Effects element to the upper right side of your template. 
Go to Image , click Free Rotate set to Right 30.00 & click Ok.
Sharpen & apply a drop shadow.

Open your PSP element, copy & paste it as a new layer onto your canvas, then re-size it to 40%. 
Using your move tool position your PSP element to the top center of your template.
In your layers pallet, move your psp layer below your Rectangle layer. 
(Make sure that your Mask &  Effects layers are also below your Rectangle layer in your layers pallet.)

Now open your Laptop element, then open your PSP element again, copy & paste your psp element onto your laptop element. Using your pick tool to shrink your psp element onto your laptop screen. Once happy with the placement go to your layers pallet, right click on your PSP layer, then click Merge,then from the slide out menu click Merge Down.
Now copy & paste your merged laptop element onto your canvas as a new layer. Then re-size it to 20%. Using your move tool position it to the lower left corner.
Sharpen & apply a drop shadow.

Now open your Mouse element, copy & paste it as a new layer onto your canvas, then re-size it to 20%. Use your move tool to position your mouse on the right side of your laptop.
Sharpen & apply a drop shadow.

Open your Tools element, copy & paste it as a new layer onto your canvas, use your move tool & position it onto the left side of your template.
Sharpen & apply a drop shadow.
In your layers pallet, move your Tools layer below your Rectangle layer.
Now right click on your Tools layer & click Duplicate.
Now using your move tool position your duplicated Tools element to the right side of your template.

Open Decor element, copy & paste it as a new layer onto your canvas, then re-size it to 80%. Now use your pick tool to adjust the length so it sits on top of your rectangle layer between both of your Tools elements.
Sharpen & apply a drop shadow.
In your layers pallet, right click on your Decor layer, then click Duplicate. 
Now using your move tool, move your duplicated Decor element to the bottom of your rectangle. (See my tag for placement if you need to)

Now open your tube of choice, copy & paste it as a new layer onto your canvas, then re-size it to 80% (This size will depend on which tube you are using, if you are using a different tube than I am just adjust your re-size settings until you are happy with it.)

Then position your tube to your liking. I placed mine to the right side of my tag.
Then go to your layers pallet, right click on your tube layer & click Duplicate. Then go to Adjust, click Blur, then click Gaussian Blur from the slide out menu. Set to 5.00 & click Ok.
Now go to the top of your layers pallet & change your Blend Mode to Overlay.
Now in your layers pallet click on your original tube layer & apply a drop shadow.

Now open your Sign 2 element, copy & paste it as a new layer onto your canvas, then re-size it to 20%. Position it to your liking.
Sharpen & apply a drop shadow.

Open RibbonnBow element, copy & paste it as a new layer onto your canvas ,then re-size it to 85%. Position it to your liking.
Sharpen & apply a drop shadow.

Open your Button element, copy & paste it as a new layer onto your canvas, then re-size it to 25%. Position it to the top left of your tag.
Sharpen & apply a drop shadow.
In your layers pallet, right click on your Button layer & click Duplicate. Position your duplicated Button element to your liking. Now duplicate your Button layer one more time, and adjust the position as desired.

Open your Pass element,& open your tube element again, now copy & paste your tube onto your Pass element 's canvas, then re-size your tube to fit inside the picture area on your pass. Use your eraser tool to erase parts of your tube that are outside your pass area.
Sharpen & then go to your layers pallet & right click on your tube layer, then click Merge , then click Merge Visible. 
Now copy & paste your merged Pass element as a new layer onto your main canvas, then re-sized it to 40%. Position your pass to the left side of your tube towards the bottom.
Sharpen & apply a drop shadow.

Open your Glitter element, copy & paste it as a new layer onto your canvas, then use your move tool to position your Glitter element to the top left corner of your tag. Then in your layers pallet, move your Glitter layer down so that it is the 2nd layer from the bottom of your layers pallet.
Now right click on your Glitter layer, then click Duplicate. Now go to Image & click Mirror.
Adjust the position of your duplicated Glitter element if you need to.
Then go back to your layers pallet, right click on your duplicated Glitter layer, click Merge, then from the slide out menu click Merge Down.
Then right click on your merged Glitter layer & click Duplicate. Now go to Image & click Flip.
Adjust the position if you need to.

Now back to layers pallet, click on the top layer -
Now open your Raster Layer element, copy & paste it as a new layer onto your canvas, then re-size it to 50%. Now position your Raster Layer element to the lower left corner of your template. 
Now go to Image & click Free Rotate set to Left 20.00 & click Ok.
Now in your layers pallet move your Raster layer down below your Laptop element.
 (and or any other layers that it is covering.)
Sharpen & apply a drop shadow.

Open your Shapes element, copy & paste it as a new layer onto your canvas, then re-size it to 50%. Use your move tool to position your Shapes element to the left next to your Raster Layer element. 
Sharpen & apply a drop shadow.
Go to Image & click Free Rotate set to Left 15.00 & click Ok.

Go to your layers pallet & move your Shapes layer down below your pass layer (and any other element layers it might be covering.)

Open your Glass Button element, copy & paste it as a new layer onto your canvas, then re-size it to 40%.
Position your Glass Button to your liking.
Sharpen & apply a drop shadow.

Open Bow 3, copy & paste it as a new layer onto your canvas, then re-size it to 35%. 
Go to Image & click Free Rotate set to Left 15.00 & click Ok.
Then go to Image & click Free Rotate again, set to Left 15.00 & click Ok.
Position to your liking.
Sharpen & apply a drop shadow.

Open your String element, copy & paste it as a new layer onto your canvas, then position it to your liking.
Sharpen & apply a drop shadow.

Open your Sparkles element, copy & paste it as a new layer onto your canvas, then re-size it to 50%. Position your Sparkles to the top left corner of your rectangle. 
Go to your layers pallet, right click on your Sparkles layer, then click Duplicate. 
Go to Image & click Mirror.
Then go back to your layers pallet & move your duplicated Sparkle layer below BOTH of your tube layers.
Now right click on your duplicated Sparkle layer & click Duplicate. Now this time use your move tool to position your 3rd set of Sparkles to the middle of your rectangle.

Now activate your Text tool , set your font, size & color.
Shit Happens
Size : 125 Pixels
Color : #000000 (Black)

Type out the name you wish to put on your tag.
Then click Apply.
Now place your name where you would like it on your tag.
Then once your happy with placement, go to your layers pallet, right click on your name layer & click Convert To Raster Layer.
Now go to Effects, click Plugins, then click Eye Candy 5 - Impact, then click Gradient Glow . Set your settings to your likings & click Ok.
Apply a drop shadow to your name.

Now add your copyright & credit information! Very important not to forget this part.

Now go to your layers pallet, right click on any layer & click Merge. Then from the slide out menu click Merge Visible.

Now activate your Crop tool, crop off any access canvas that we did not use.

Now if you need to re-size your tag.

Once you have re-sized your tag, go to Adjust, click Sharpness then click Sharpen.

All that is left is to save your tag as a PNG & you have completed this tutorial!!
