♥Red Riding Hood PTU♥

Here is what we will be making :
**This tutorial was written & posted on May 16th 2011**
***Any resemblance to any other tutorial is purely coincidental & completely unintentional!!***

 Supplies Needed :

Paint Shop Pro X2 (Any version should work)
Tube of choice : I used the amazing work of Ismael Rac. I purchased my tube when he was selling at AMI which has closed. You can now purchase Rac's work @ XERAC
Scrapkit : Red Riding Hood By Addictive Pleasures

Plugins Used :
Eye Candy 5 Impact - Gradient Glow (Optional)

Font :

York Script ES
Size : 72 Pixels
Color : #b10000

Elements Used :
(Not in any specific order, if you would like to open all needed elements at one time, click on your first element needed, then before clicking the next element press & hold your Ctrl key on your keyboard as you click the rest of your needed elements)
Frame
P11
Wolf
Grass
Ivy2
Ribbon 3
Ribbon
Basket
Apple
Bow 2
Blossom
Deco
Sparkle

Lets Begin :

Open a new 800 X 650 transparent canvas, Don't worry we will crop it later.

Now open your Frame element, copy & paste it as a new layer onto your canvas ,then re-size it to 70%.
Now click on your magic wand, now click inside each of your 3 frame openings. Go to Selections, click Modify, then click Expand from the slide out menu, then set your number of pixels to 3 & click Ok.

Now open P11 - copy & paste it as a new layer onto your canvas ,then go to Selections & click Invert, then on your keyboard press your delete key 1 time.
Now go to Selections & click Select None.

Now open your tube of choice - copy & paste it as a new layer onto your canvas ,then re-size it to 85%. (This size will depend on what tube you are using, so just adjust it as needed)
Now position your tube in the center of your frame.
Go to your layers pallet, right click on your tube layer & click Duplicate. Go to Adjust, click Blur, then click Gaussian Blur from the slide out menu, set to 3.00 & click Ok.
Now go back to your layers pallet, & at the top change your Blend Mode to Overlay.
Now click on your original tube layer (the bottom tube layer) & apply a drop shadow.

Open your Wolf element, copy & paste it as a new layer onto your canvas ,then re-size it to 85%. In your layers pallet, move your Wolf layer below both of your tube layers. Now position your Wolf element using your move tool to the right side of your frame.
Go back to your layers pallet & right click on your Wolf layer & click Duplicate.
Now go to Image & click Mirror.
Sharpen & apply a drop shadow to both of your Wolf elements.

Now click on your frame layer,
Open your Grass element, copy & paste it as a new layer onto your canvas ,then re-size it to 50%. Now use your move tool & move your Grass element to the bottom of your frame on the right side. (See my tag for reference.) Now sharpen & apply a drop shadow to your Grass element.
Go to your layers pallet, & duplicate your Grass layer 5 times for a total of 6 grass layers. Each time you duplicate the Grass layer use your move tool & slide over the new grass layer next to the last one. Continue to do that until your grass goes all the way across your frame. Once you have your grass elements across your frame, go to your layers pallet & right click on your top grass layer, then click Merge, then click Merge Down from the slide out layer. Continue to merge down until all of your grass layers become one merged layer.

Open your Ivy2 element, copy & paste it as a new layer onto your canvas, then re-size it to 80%. Use your move tool & position your Ivy 2 element to the left side of our frame. Now use your Pick Tool to adjust the slant of your Ivy2 to match the slant of your frame on the left side.
Sharpen & apply a drop shadow.
Now go to your layers pallet, right click on your Ivy 2 layer, then click duplicate. Now go to Image & click Mirror.

Now open your Ribbon 3 element, copy & paste it as a new layer onto your canvas ,then re-size it to 80%. Now use your move tool & position it to the bottom of your frame.
Now sharpen & apply a drop shadow.
Now open your Ribbon element, copy & paste it as a new layer onto your canvas, then re-size it to 80%. Now using your move tool again, position to the bottom of your frame a bit higher than your first ribbon.
Sharpen & apply a drop shadow.

Now open your Basket element, copy & paste it as a new layer onto your canvas ,then re-size it to 50% . Position your Basket element to the bottom & place it between the knees of your tube. (If you are using the same tube, otherwise place as desired )
Now sharpen & apply a drop shadow.

Open your Apples element, copy & paste it as a new layer onto your canvas, then re-size it to 25%. Use your move tool & position your apple element down just in front of your basket. (See my tag for location) Now go to your layers pallet, right click on your Apple layer & duplicate it, use your move tool & move your duplicated apply offer slightly. Duplicate your Apple element 1 more time & move that over slightly as well. You should now have a total of 3 Apple layers. Now right click on your top Apple layer, click Merge, then click Merge Down. Continue to merge down until all 3 of your Apple layers become one merged layer.
Now right click on your Merged Apple layer, then click Duplicate. Now move your duplicated apple layer down so it is under your Basket layer.
Now click back up on the top Apple layer. Activate your eraser tool, and erase the part of your apples that is over lapping on your basket. You want to make the apples look like they are sitting in the basket.

Open your Bow 2 element, copy & paste it as a new layer onto your canvas ,then re-size it to 15%. Position your Bow2 element using your move tool to the handle of your Basket element.
Sharpen & apply a drop shadow.

Now click on the last layer in your layers pallet,
Open your Deco element, copy & paste it as a new layer onto your canvas ,then re-size it to 70%. Position it to the right side of your frame. Sharpen & apply a drop shadow.

Now in your layers pallet, right click on your Deco layer & click Duplicate. Now go to Image & click Mirror.

Click on your top layer in your layers pallet :

Open your Blossom element, copy & paste it as a new layer onto your canvas ,then re-size it to 80%. Position your Blossom element to the upper right corner of your frame.
In your layers pallet, move your Blossom layer down so that it is directly above your Deco layer. (I had you start at the top of the layers pallet, because if we would of started at the bottom when you pasted your Blossom element onto your canvas ,you wouldn't of been able to see it once you re-sized it. So this way you can see it, position it, then move it to the bottom)
Now sharpen & apply a drop shadow.

Now still in your layers pallet, right click on your Blossom layer, then click Duplicate, then go to Image & click Mirror.
Now back to your layers pallet, right click on your duplicated Blossom layer & click Merge, then click Merge Down from the slide out menu. Now right click & click Duplicate on your merged blossom layer, then go to Image & click Flip.

Now open your Sparkle element, copy & paste it as a new layer onto your canvas ,then position your Sparkle element so that it is at the bottom of your tag. Go to your layers pallet, right click on your Sparkles layer & click Duplicate. Now go to Image & click Flip.In your layers pallet, move this Sparkle layer below both of your tube layers. Now you will have Sparkles on the top of your tag as well.
Go back to your layers pallet, right click on your bottom sparkles layer & click Duplicate. Now use your move tool to move your 3rd sparkle element to the middle of your tag.

Add your name.
Font I used is :
York Script ES
Size : 72 Pixels
Color : #b10000
You can also add a gradient glow to your name if you so choose.

Add your copyright/credit information.

Now go to your layers pallet, right click on any layer, then click Merge, then click Merge Down from the slide out menu.

You will want to crop your canvas at this time, to get rid of any access canvas that we did not use.

Once your tag is cropped, you may or may not want to re-size your tag, if you do now is the time to do that.
Once you have cropped & re-sized your tag, I like to sharpen my completed tag one last time prior to saving. If you would like to do that as well, just go to Adjust, click Sharpness, then click Sharpen.

Save your tag as PNG & you have completed this tutorial!!
