♥Sweet Pea PTU♥

Here is what we are going to be making :

***Please keep in mind that my tutorials are made using my own Ditzy noggin, any resemblance to any other tutorial is purely coincidental and unintentional.**

Supplies Needed :

PaintShop Pro X2 (Any version should work)

Tube Of Choice : I used the beautiful work of Linda Biggs I purchased my tube at CILM which has since closed, but her work is now available at CDO (Creative Designs Outlet) Please do not use her work unless you have the proper license to do so.

Scrapkit By Teresa's Treasures "Sweet Pea" you can purchase it at Scraps With Atittude

Eye Candy 4 Gradient Glow

Mask Of Choice
Elements Used :

Element 61
Element 5
Element 8
Element 13
Element 26
Element 36
Paper 4

Ok Lets Begin :

Open a new 800x600 new image with transparent background.

Open element 61, copy & paste it as a new layer onto your canvas, then re-size it to 55%.

Get your magic wand, click inside your frame (element 61)
Now go to Selections, Click Modify then click Expand, set Number Of Pixels to 10, then click Ok.

Now open Paper 4, copy & paste it as a new layer, Go to Selections, and click Invert. Now on your keyboard use your Ctrl & D keys to deselect. OR you can go to Selections, and click Select None.

Now in your layers pallet, click on your Paper 4 layer, and while holding down your left mouse button, drag your Paper layer 4 down below your frame (element 61) layer.

Now click on your element 61 layer (Frame) and apply a drop shadow, by going to Effects, click 3D then click Drop Shadow from the slide out menu.

Now open your tube, copy & paste it as a new layer onto your canvas. If you are using the same tube as I am re-size it to 80%. If you are using a different tube, just re-size it to where you think it looks good.

On your tube layer, right click and click Duplicate, now move your duplicated tube layer BELOW your frame layer and use your eraser tool to erase parts of the bottom of your tube. Erase just enough so that the bottom of your frame shows. (You may have to erase a little from each tube layer, both top tube layer and bottom tube layer)

Now, on the very top tube layer, right click, click Duplicate, then go to Adjust, and click Blur, then click Gaussian Blur. Set your setting to 3.00 and click ok.
Then change your blend mode to Overlay on the same duplicated tube layer. Use screen shots below to help you locate where to change your blend mode.

Now in your layers pallet, click on your very last layer, make a New Raster layer, by going to Layers, then click New Raster Layer.
Now activate your paint bucket tool by clicking on it, then in your Materials pallet, change your foreground color too #ff6ed2, now click on any empty space on your canvas.

Now go to Layers, click Load/Save Mask, then click Load Mask From Disk, and choose a mask of your choice.

Once you have your mask in place, go to your layers pallet and right click on your mask layer, then click Merge, then from the slide out menu click Merge Group.
Now re-size your mask to 70%. (Or you may have to adjust your size a little depending on the mask you chose to use :-)

Now lets open element 5, copy & paste it as a new layer onto your canvas, then re-size it to 50%. Now using your move tool, position your element 5 to the bottom right side of your frame.

Now in your layers pallet, right click on your element 5 layer, click Duplicate, Then go to Image, and click Mirror. Then back in your layers pallet, right click on your duplicated element 5 layer, then click Merge, then click Merge Down from the slide out menu.

Now on your merged layer, right click and click Duplicate, then go to Image, and click Flip.

Move your Merged element 5 layer down in your layers pallet so that it is below ALL of your tube layers.

Now lets open element 8, copy & paste it as a new layer, and re-size it to 25%.
Using your move tool position it at the top left corner of your design, now go to Image, and click Mirror. Then go to Image, and click Free Rotate, set to Right 30.00, click Ok.

Now in your layers pallet , move your element 8 layer down so that it is right above your mask layer. Now right click and click Duplicate, then go to Image, and click Mirror.

Now open your element 13 , copy & paste it as a new layer onto your canvas, and re-size it to 65%. Now in your layers pallet, hold your left mouse button down and drag your element 13 layer down so it is under your element 5 layer. (See my tag for placement of element 13.)

Now lets open element 26, copy & paste it as a new layer onto your canvas, then re-size it to 15%, using your move tool position your element 26 to the top left corner of your frame, then go to Image, click Free Rotate , set to Left 30.00, and click Ok.

Now right click on your element 26 layer in your layers pallet, click Duplicate, then go to Image, and click Mirror. Now apply a drop shadow to both of your element 26 layers.

Open element 36, copy & paste it as a new layer onto your canvas, then re-size it to 20%, use your move tool to position it to the right side of your frame towards the middle of the right side.

In your layers pallet, right click on your element 36 layer, click Duplicate, then go to Image, then click Mirror. If you need to position your duplicated element a little then use your move tool to do so.
Apply a drop shadow to both layers.

Now it is time to add your name you would like on your tag.
Also don't forget to add all of your copyright/credit information.

Now once you have your name typed out and positioned where you want it, if you would like to add the gradient glow, go to Effects, down to plug-ins, then find your Eye Candy 4 > Gradient Glow, then set the settings to your liking, and make sure the color is to your liking, I used white. Then click Ok.
Now apply a drop shadow to your name.

Now you will want to right click on any layer in your layers pallet, click Merge, then on the slide out menu click Merge Visible.

Once you have merged all of your layers, you will need to crop your tag. So get your crop tool, then crop off any part of the canvas that we did not use. Be sure not to crop to closely as you do not want to crop off any of your elements/words, or drop shadows.

Now once your tag is cropped, you may or may not want or need to re-size it. If you do wish to re-size, you can use the Shift & S key on your keyboard and that will bring up your Re-size menu. Set your settings to your desired size. Click Ok. (You can also go to Image, click Re-size and your re-size menu will open that way also.)

Now once you have re-sized your tag, go to Adjust, click Sharpness, then click Sharpen, and that will make your tag nice and clear :-)

Thats it! You have completed my tutorial!

As always I would like to thank-you for using one of my tutorials, I would very much love to see what you have made using any of my tutorials, so please email me and include the design you made. I would love to display them on my blog!
