♥Candy Girl Tag PTU♥

Here is what we will be making :

**Please keep in mind that all my tutorials are made from my own Ditzy noggin, any resemblance to any other tutorial is purely coincidental**

Supplies Needed :
PaintShop Pro X2 (Any version should work)
Tube Of Choice : I used a beautiful tube from Lia You can see her work HERE.
Scapkit Of Choice or the one I used called Candy Girl By Tammy @ Tammy's Scraps
Eye Candy 5>Impact (Optional)

Elements Used From Candy Girl Kit :

Element 45, 106,74,33,8,5,1,2,75,42,41,119,40,& 73
Papers Used : Paper 7 & Paper 18

Lets Begin :

Open a new image size 800x650 (Don't worry we will crop it later)

Open Element, 45, Copy & paste it as a new layer onto your canvas, re-size it to 50%, go to Image, click Free Rotate, set to Left 20.00, click ok.
Now go to your layers pallet, make sure you are on your Element 45 layer, right click, click Duplicate, then go to Image, & click Mirror.

Now using your move tool and position them so the bottom inside corners are touching.

Now in your layers pallet again, right click on your left side frame, then get your Magic Wand tool, and click inside the left frame. Then go to Selections, click Modify, then click Expand, and set the setting to 4.

Now open your Paper 7, Copy & paste it as a new layer onto your canvas, go to Selections, click Invert, then press delete on your keyboard 1 time.

Now move your paper layer below your left sided frame.

(Keep frame selected)

Now Open your tube of choice, copy & paste it as a new layer onto your canvas, use your move tool and position it where your left frame is, try to center it up in the frame. Once you have it where you want it, go to Selections, and click Invert. Then press your Delete key on your keyboard 1 time.
Now you can press Ctrl & D on your keyboard to deselect your frame.

(Make sure your paper layer is below your frame layer & make sure your tube layer is above your paper layer but below your frame layer.)
Now on your tube layer, right click , click duplicate, then go to Adjust, click Blur, then click Gaussian Blur on the slide out menu,  set your settings to 3.00. Then on your duplicated layer still, change your blend mode to Overlay.
Then on your original tube layer , change your blend mode to Luminance (Legacy)
Now add a drop shadow to your original tube layer. (To add a drop shadow go to Effects , click 3D, then click Add Drop Shadow)

Now you will want to follow the exact same steps for your right sided frame. (The only change I made was before I copied & pasted my tube, I went to Image & clicked Mirror. So it made her look like she was turning the other way.)

Now open your main tube (which can be the same one you just used if you wish, which is what I did) copy & paste it as a new layer onto your canvas, re-size it to 65% (if you are using the same tube, if you are using something different re-size accordingly)

Now in your layers pallet, on your main tube layer, right click on it, click duplicate then go to Adjust, click on Blur, then click Gaussian Blur on the slide out menu. Set your setting to 3.00, and then in your layers pallet change your blend mond to Overlay, and give the original tube layer a drop shadow.

Now open element 106, copy & paste it as a new layer onto your canvas, re-size it to 30% position it to the left, then go to Adjust, click Sharpness, then click Sharpen on the slide out menu.
Add a drop shadow.
Once you have added your drop shadow go to your layers pallet, still on your Element 106 layer, right click and click Duplicate. Then go to Image, and click Mirror. Use your move tool to position it where you would like it.

Open element 74, copy & paste as a new layer onto your canvas,re-size to 30%,go to Image, click on Free Rotate, set to Left 20.00, click ok. Then go to Adjust , click on Sharpness, then click Sharpen. Then add a drop shadow.

Now lets open Paper 18, copy & paste it as a new layer onto your canvas, go to your layers pallet move your Paper 18 layer to the bottom so that it is your second layer from the bottom.
Now still on that paper layer in your layers pallet, go to Layers, (at the top of your psp) click on Load/Save Mask, then click Load Mask From Disc, then choose a mask of your choice.

Now back in your layers pallet, on your mask layer, right click, click Merge, then on the slide out menu click Merge Group. Re-size to 85%.

Lets open element 33 , copy & paste it as a new layer onto your canvas, re-size it to 15%. Go to Image, click on Free Rotate, set it to Left 20.00, click ok.
Then go to Adjust, click on Sharpeness, then click Sharpen. Add a drop shadow.

Follow the same step for element 34 that you did for element 33, except this time when you rotate, rotate it to the right.

Now merge your Element 33 & 34 layers together. Make sure you are on the top layer of the 2 then right click , click Merge, then click Merge Down.

Then on your merged layer, right click, click duplicate, then go to Image, and click Mirror. Use your move tool if you need to to position your element .

Open Element 8, copy & paste as a new layer onto your canvas, re-size it to 10%. Position it to the left.
Now open Element 5, copy & paste as a new layer onto your canvas, re-size it to 10%, and position it to the left next to your element 8 candy.
Now go to your layers pallet , click on your element 8 layer, right click on it, then click Merge, then click Merge Down.
Now on your merged layer go to Adjust, click Sharpness, then click Sharpen, then go to Effects, click 3D and then add a drop shadow.

Still on your merged layer in the layers pallet, right click, click Duplicate, then go to Image, then click Mirror. Use your move tool if you need to position it where you want it.

Now lets open Element 1, copy & paste it as a new layer onto your canvas, re-size it to 15%. Go to Image, click on Free Rotate, set to Left 20.00 , click Ok.

Open Element 2, copy & paste it as a new layer onto your canvas, Re-size it to 15%, then go to Image, click Free Rotate and set it to Right 20.00. click Ok.

Now in your layers pallet, merge your Element layers 1 & 2. (Start with the one that is on top of the other one, right click , click merge, then click merge down.)

Now on your merged layer, right click, click Duplicate, then go to Image, click Mirror, and you can use your move tool again if you need to position where you would like it.

On both of the lollipop layers go to Adjust, click Sharpness, then click Sharpen. Add a drop shadow.

Now lets open Element 75, copy & paste as a new layer, re-size it to 15% and using your move tool , position it on the left side of the lollipop sticks, once it is where you like it, go to Adjust, click Sharpness, then click Sharpen. Now give it a small drop shadow.

Now still on your Element 75 layer in your layers pallet , right click then click Duplicate, then you need to go to Image, then click Mirror.
Use your move tool again to place the ribbons exactly where you want them.
(Then I merged 2 lollipops and 1 ribbon together so that incase I decided to move them layer I could move them as one. You will have to make sure if you chose to merge them that you have element 1, element 2 & element 75 in one merge.)

Open Element 42, copy & paste as a new layer, re-size to 30%, go to Image, click Free Rotate, set to Left 20.00. Now in your layers pallet, on your Element 42 layer right click, click Duplicate, then go to Image, and click Mirror. Use your move tool if needed to position your element.
Once your Element 42 is where you want it, go to Adjust, click on Sharpness, then click Sharpen.
Go to Effects, Click 3D , then click Add a Drop Shadow.

Do the same step for Element 41, except position it on the left, then Free Rotate set to Right 20.00 (Move them around a little bit until you like them where they are placed.

Ok, now lets open Element 119, copy & paste it as a new layer, and position it in your layers pallet so that it is behind your little animal element , your lollipop layers, your candy layers , also your heart & candy stick layers. You want it behind all of those layers. Once you have it there, go to Adjust, click Sharpness, then click Sharpen.
Then go to Effects, click 3D, then click Add Drop Shadow.

Open Element 40, copy & paste it as a new layer onto your canvas, Re-size it to 50%, position it to the left of your frame, go to Image, click Free Rotate, set to Left 30.00, click Ok.

Then go to Adjust, click Sharpness, then click Sharpen. Then go to Effects, click 3D, then click Add Drop Shadow.

In your layers pallet, make sure you have activated your element 40 layer  (to activate just click on the layer you want). then move it so that it is the 3rd layer from the bottom. (If it isn't there already)
Once you have your layer set to the 3rd from the bottom, right click on it, then click Duplicate.
Now on the same layer, go to Image, then click Mirror.
Use your move tool to position it where you want it.

Now open your Element 73, Copy & paste it as a new layer onto your canvas, Re-size it to 50%. Position this element in front of your tag/main tube. Now click on your Eraser Tool, and erase the keyring part of the element that is showing threw your tag. Now go to Adjust, click Sharpness, then click Sharpen. Add a small drop shadow.

Now open element 96, copy & paste it as a new layer onto your canvas, re-size it to 50%, position it to the frame on the left, now in your layers pallet, right click on your element 96 layer and duplicate it, then go to Image, then click Mirror. Now back to your layers pallet, duplicate it one more time. This time use your move tool and position the 3rd layer where you would like it. I put mine in the lower middle.

Now you are ready to add your name, and your copyright information & any credits you need to add.
Once you have your name and copyright/credit information on your tag, go to your layers pallet, and activate your name layer (remember to activate means to click on it)  Right click on your name layer, and click Convert To Raster Layer.
Then go to Effects, scroll down to Plug-ins, then find your Eye Candy 5 Impact, then click Gradient Glow. Set your settings how you would like them, then click ok. Now add a drop shadow to your name.

Once you have your drop shadow added, click on your Magic Wand tool, now making sure you are still on your name layer in your layers pallet, use your Magic Wand to click inside each letter in the name you used. Once all letters are selected, go to Effects, Click on 3D, then on the slide out menu click on Inner Bevel. You can set your settings any way you would like, or you can follow mine below if it helps :-)

Once you have your Inner Bevel done click Ok, Then all we have left to do is crop our tag, so get your crop tool, and crop off any access canvas that we did not use, be sure not to crop it to close to your tag, or mask.

Once you have your tag cropped, go to your layers pallet, right click on any layer and then click Merge Visible.
Now if you want to re-size your tag, now is the time to do it, so to re-size you can do it one of two ways, you can either go to Image, click on Re-size, and set it to Pixels and then type in the size you want then click ok. Or you can save yourself a couple of clicks and on your keyboard push your shift key & s key and it will bring up your Re-size screen for you set your size and click Ok.

Once you have re-sized your tag, I like to do one more sharpen on my tags, so if you would like to go to Adjust, click Sharpness then click Sharpen.

Now you are all set to save your completed tag.

Save as png!!

Thanks so much for trying my tutorial, I would LOVE to see what you have made, so please feel free to send me an email with the tag you made in it, I would really like to display it on my blog :)
