♥Sweet Love PTU (Animated)♥

Here is what we will be making :
**Please remember that all of my tutorials are made using my own Ditzy noggin, any resemblance to any other tutorial is purely coincidental & completely unintentional!**

Supplies Needed :

PaintShop Pro X2 (Any version should work)
Animations Shop
Tube of choice : I used the stunning work of Anna Marine , I purchased my tube from CILM, which is now closed, Anna is now selling her work @ Creative Design Outlet (CDO) License required to use her work.
Scrapkit :  Mix6_TT By Teresa's Scraps @ Scraps With Attitude
Mask Of Choice
Bling Of Choice

Plug-ins Used :
Eye Candy 5 - Impact - Gradient Glow (Optional)

Font : Mail Ray Stuff
Size : 70 Pixels
Color : #411b0a

Elements Used :

Element 13
Element 9
Element 5
Element 6
Element 25
Element 38
Element 26
Element 10
Element 14
Papers 18 & 19

Lets Begin :

Lets start with opening a new 800 X 650 white canvas. I use white when I animated because when I go and save my tag as a GIF, the puts a glow around my tag/elements. But if you know how to avoid that you can make your canvas transparent :-) (Don't worry we will crop it later :-)

Now open element 25 (Frame), copy & paste it as a new layer onto your canvas, then re-size it to 40%, then re-size it again to 65%. (For those of you just starting out learning psp, to re-size something go to Image, click Re-size change your setting to "Percent" Change your Height & Width )

Now activate your magic wand by clicking on it, then click inside your frame. Go to Selections and click Modify, then click Expand from the slide out menu, change your number of pixels to 5 and click Ok.

Now open Paper 19, copy & paste it as a new layer onto your canvas, then go to Selections and click Invert. Now on your keyboard press your Delete key ONE time.
Then again on your keyboard press your Ctrl & D keys to deselect. (Or you can go to Selections and click None.)
Now in your layers pallet, move your Paper19 layer below your frame layer.

Now open your tube of choice. Copy & paste it as a new layer onto your canvas ,then re-size it to 85% (your size may vary depending on the tube that you used. Just play around with your size until your tube is the size you want it.)
Now using your move tool, position your tube in your frame. The head/top of your tube will stick out over your frame, which is what we want, so keep that in mind.
Now in your layers pallet right click on your tube layer, then click Duplicate. Now move your duplicated tube layer down below your frame layer but keep it above your Paper19 layer.
Now still in your layers pallet, click on your top tube layer. Then activate your eraser tool, now on your canvas erase the bottom part of your tube that is hanging over the inside edge of your frame. You want the bottom to appear inside the frame and the top to be out side the frame.
Once you have the first tube layer erased, close it off and click on your bottom tube layer, and erase the bottom part of that tube as well. Then unhide your top layer and make sure you got all of the parts erased that you needed to erase.

Once you have your tube the way you want it right click on your top tube layer and click Duplicate, then go to Adjust, click Blur then click Gaussian Blur from the slide out menu, set to 3.00 and click Ok.
Now at the top of your layers pallet where it says "normal" click on that and change your Blend Mode to "Overlay".
Now still in your layers pallet, click your bottom tube layer and apply a drop shadow.
(For those who are just starting out, to apply a drop shadow go to Effects, click 3D Effects then click Drop Shadow.
You can either use my settings below or you can use your own. I just wanted to post it for those who are just starting out and need a start with the settings. :-)

Click Ok.

Now click on your frame layer & apply a drop shadow as well. (Same settings you used for your tube should work just fine)

Now open Element 5, copy & paste it as a new layer onto your canvas , now go to  Image & click Free Rotate , set to Left 10.00 and click Ok.
Apply a drop shadow.

Now open Element 24, copy & paste it as a new layer onto your canvas ,then re-size it to 15%. Using your move tool, position your Element 24 to the lower right corner of your frame.
Go to Adjust, click Sharpness then click Sharpen.
Apply a drop shadow.
In your layers pallet right click on your Element 24 layer, and click Duplicate, then go to Image and click Mirror. Use your move tool to adjust the position of your duplicated element if needed.

Now copy & paste Element 24 again,  this time re-size it to 20%, then use your move tool and position it above your first flower.
In your layers pallet move this element 24 layer below your other element 24 layers.
Then right click, and click Duplicate, then go to Image & click Mirror.
Position if needed using your move tool.
Now for both of your new Element 24 layers go to Adjust, click Sharpness then click Sharpen.
Apply a drop shadow.

Now open your Element 38, copy & paste as a new layer onto your canvas ,then re-size it to 80%.
In your layers pallet move this layer down so that it is the second layer from the bottom.
Apply a drop shadow.

Now open your Element 10, copy & paste it as a new layer onto your canvas ,then re-size it to 65%. Using your move tool position your Element 10 to the left of your tag. Then in your layers pallet, right click on your Element 10 layer and click Duplicate.
Now go to Image and click Mirror. Adjust the position if needed.
Now for both of your Element 10 layers go to Adjust, click Sharpness then click Sharpen.
Also apply a drop shadow to both layers.
Now lets open Element 6, copy & paste as a new layer onto your canvas, then re-size to 15% Using your move tool , position your Element 6 to the left side of your tag, and place it in the middle of the side of your frame.
Go to Adjust, click Sharpness then click Sharpen.
Now apply a drop shadow.

Now open Element 14, copy & paste as a new layer onto your canvas ,then re-size it to 30%. Using your move tool, position your Element 14 at the bottom of your frame.
Now go to Adjust, click Sharpness then click Sharpen.
Apply a drop shadow.

Now in your layers pallet, right click on your Element 14 layer, then clickon your tag as well.

Duplicate then use your move tool to place your duplicated bow where you want it. Duplicate it again and place

Now open your Element 9, copy & paste it as a new layer onto your canvas ,then re-size it to 20%. Use your move tool to position your Element 9 the to upper right corner of your frame. Now go to your layers pallet and right click on your Element 9 layer, then go to Image and click Mirror. Now position your duplicated Element 9 image to the lower left corner of your frame.
For both of your Element 9 images go to Adjust, click Sharpness then click Sharpen.
Apply a drop shadow to both layers as well.

Now lets open your Element 13 , copy & paste it as a new layer onto your canvas ,then re-size it to 15%, now using your move tool, position your Element 13 at the bottom of your tag. Now go to Image and click Free Rotate, then set it to Right , 30.00 and click Ok.
Now go to Adjust, click Sharpness then click Sharpen.
Apply a drop shadow.

Now open Paper 18, copy & paste it as a new layer onto your canvas, then in your layers pallet, move your Paper 18 layer down so that it is the second layer from the bottom. Now go to Layers, click Load/Save Mask, then click Load Mask From Disk from the slide out menu.
Now once your mask window opens, choose the mask that you wish to use and click Ok.

Now in your layers pallet, right click on your mask layer, then click Merge, then from the slide out menu click Merge Group.

Once you have your mask layers merged, you might want to re-size your mask just a touch. I re-sized mine to 90^. (This will depend on what mask you have used, as some of them are made bigger or smaller than others.

Now is time to add your name, so in your layers pallet, click on your very top layer ,

Then activate your text tool, type in the name you would like on your tag.
The font I used is called :MailRayStuff
Size : 70 Pixels
Color : #411b0a

Once you have your name the way you want it and where you want it on your tag, go to your layers pallet and right click on your name layer, then click Convert To Raster Layer.
Now go to Effects, click Plug-ins then click Eye Candy 5 Impact, then click your Gradient Glow.
(You can either use my settings below or your own, again just wanted to post my settings to give beginners a general idea)

Click Ok.
Once you have your Gradient Glow add go to Effects, 3D Effects, and apply a drop shadow.

Now you will want to crop your tag, so activate your crop tool and crop off any access canvas that we did not use. Be careful not to crop to close to your tag as you don't want to crop off any elements or drop shadows. IF you do make a mistake, just click your Undo button and try it again :-)

Now its time to animate!

Open your Animation Shop, then go back to your PSP.
Activate your magic wand tool by click on it, (make sure you have clicked on your name layer in your layers pallet if you aren't already on that layer)
Now click inside each letter in the name you used. Once you have all the letters selected go to Adjust, click Add/Remove Noise, then click Add Noise from the slide out menu, when your noise box opens, set to Uniform, set noise to 30 and make sure your Monochrome box is checked and click Ok.
Now use your Ctrl & D keys to deselect.
Go to Edit, click Copy Special, then click Copy Merged from the slide out menu.

Now go to your Animation Shop and right click in your grey area, then click "Paste As New Animation".

Now go back to your PSP, on your key board hold down your Ctrl key and press your Z key 2 times, this will undo our last 2 steps. You will see your name/letters have the marching ants around them again, now go to Adjust, click Add/Remove Noise, then click Add Noise ,this time change your noise amount to 35 and click Ok.

Now using your Ctrl & D keys to deselect your name. Now go to Edit, click Copy Special, then click Copy Merged from the slide out menu.
Go to your Animation Shop and right click inside your first frame that we just put there. Click Paste then click "After Current Frame".
Now go back to your PSP, on your keyboard  hold down your Ctrl key and press your Z key two times to undo your last 2 steps. Now go to Adjust, click Add/Remove Noise, then click Add Noise from the slide out menu and change your noise setting to 40. Click Ok.

Now back to your Animation Shop, right click in your 2nd frame that we just put there and click Paste, then click "After Current Frame".

Now check your animation to make sure you are happy with it before we move on to the next animated step.

If you are happy with the way your glitter is in your name, open your choice of bling.
My bling has 3 frames, so does my animated name, so on your bling , press your Ctrl & A key to select all the frames, you should now have a blue box around all 3 frames.
Now go to your name frames, and do the same thing, hold down your Ctrl key and press your A key ,that will again select all 3 frames of your name.

Now on your "Bling" right click and click Copy, then go to your name frames, and right click inside the FIRST frame and click Paste then click "Into Selected Frames" from the slide out menu.

Now do NOT left click until you see your bling and have placed it where you want it to be. Once you see your bling show up on your tag move your mouse around without clicking until your find the spot for your bling, once you are where you want it, just left click one time.

Now because I used 2 of the same bling, all you will have to do to get the second one to work is right click in your first tag frame again (making sure that all 3 frames are still selected) then click Paste, then click "Into Selected Frames" Now move your mouse around until your bling is where you want it, then left click one time to place it.

Now check your animation one more time, if you are happy with it go to File, click Save As, and name your tag. Save it as a GIF file!

(For newbies : Keep in mind that when you want to use your animated tag you must upload it to an image hosting site priror to using it. I use photobucket for all of my image hosting, it is a free site.)

That's it! You have completed my animated tutorial.

As always I would LOVE to see what you have made using this or any of my tutorials, so please make sure you email me and include a copy of your design so that I can see it and display it on my blog!
